SENATOR LEIBHAM DEMONSTRATES GRASSROOTS
STRENGTH WITH NOMINATION PAPER FILING
Volunteers Collect More
Than 2000 Nomination Signatures
in Support of Senator’s Re-Election
Sheboygan…This
morning, State Senator Joe Leibham (R-Sheboygan) announced that his
grassroots team of more than 162 volunteers had collected more than 2000
nomination signatures in support of his re-election effort, including more
than 500 that he collected himself.
“This grassroots volunteer effort in
support of my re-election demonstrates the local support for my work over
the last four years to lower taxes, create more better paying jobs, make
health care affordable and accessible, and reform our election system by
requiring a photo ID to vote,” Senator Leibham said. “With the help of
these volunteers, I look forward to informing voters across the 9th
Senate District of my work on these important issues and my goals for the
future. I’m running for re-election to the Wisconsin State Senate to reduce
taxes further and finally remove Wisconsin from the list of our nation’s
“Top Ten Highest Taxed States.”
Senator Leibham’s campaign submitted 800
signatures, the maximum allowable for submission under state guidelines, to
the Wisconsin State Elections Board, which have since been certified
ensuring that Senator Leibham’s name will appear on the November 7th
ballot.
“I always enjoy meeting and visiting with
voters across the district and appreciate the help of this volunteer
grassroots team who joined me in this effort by collecting more than 2,000
signatures in support of my re-election.” Senator Leibham said. “Again, I
appreciate the support from these grassroots volunteers and I look forward
to a spirited campaign over the next four months.”
